I am trying to let my baby be independent on his own because its important for his self-esstem. It gets so hard i dont want him to hurt hisself but i dont want to make it look like he cant do something on his own. how to handle this?

My 3 1/2 year old will not sleep in his own bed. I feel bad making him sleep in his bed by himself but I know in the long run this is going to be a hard habit to break. Any suggestions as to how I can slowly break this habit I started?

I had to create a bedtime routine and then stick to it. My now 6yr old son had been abused some by his dad – often in the form of dominating him by holding him down on a bed or sofa and covering him with a blanket to keep him quiet and still.
