Wow, this is beautiful! As a single mom, Mother’s Day is a big deal for me, my daughter changed my life, and left a permanent print on my heart the day she was born. One of the first things I did when seeing her for the first time was marvel at her tiny hands, thinking about the day that I read, while pregnant, that at that early point she had finger prints and being so amazed that my body had created something so intricate! This is the most wonderful thing I’ve seen! My mother is 83 and has had Alzheimer’s for twelve years, so we’ve had to take all jewelry from her. I’m also a single mom of an 18 yr. old son who is soon leaving for college. This is so beautiful and unique! It would be an awesome gift. We’ve had a terrible week. We were 7 weeks pregnant with our 2nd baby and at the ultrasound found out it was an ectopic pregnancy and I had to have emergency surgery the following day. It’s been really hard on all of us, especially our 3 year old who keeps talking about her baby sister/brother. I know this contest is over. But I wanted to leave this very important comment. I own one of these. As my Mother in law passed in August of 2011. My Father in law had 1 of these made for each of us girls. It was the most touching gift I have ever recieved.
